This is a free architectural drawing of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, with annexes and towers. The file has been prepared by architects from the United Arab Emirates to serve as a reference for organizations or individuals who are interested in construction projects related to this building. The building is an iconic landmark on the Dubai waterfront, originally designed by Tom Wright of WS Atkins International Ltd, based on his original sketches for Giorgio Armani’s design. The building was completed in 1999.

Distinctive features of this iconic structure include its dramatically tapered sail-shaped top to minimize wind resistance, which also helps achieve the record height for a building without a tower crane. The perimeter of the building features an elegant Y-shaped serrated edge, covered with 3,330 marble panels and 1,056 gold-anodized aluminum ones. The cladding material is Thermalyte IRP (Insulation Reinforced Plastic). This advanced material ensures that the Burj Al Arab will remain cool in temperatures that often reach over .

The balconies are made from brushed stainless steel or glass with aluminum frames offering magnificent views to the sea (and sometimes sandstorms).

The building contains seven floors with two basements, an entrance hall with a ’glass ceiling’ that is the first point of entry, reception, lobby loungebar and dining room. There are five restaurants in the hotel. Two of these are located on the ground floor with direct access from the entrance hall. From there it rises into a spectacular lobby with white marble floors, surrounded by an aquarium. Upstairs are more restaurants.
Two private helipads serve as parking for choppers. It is mandatory for all helicopters to land on the helipad before entering the building by air-stairs or lifts for safety reasons.

The building is connected to Marina Mall via an elevated bridge. On the bridge, two entrances are available (one for pedestrians and one for vehicles). There are also two shopping arcades (one on each side of the bridge) that offer duty-free shopping to guests of Burj Al Arab. There is another entrance facing the beach at the other end of Marina Bay. The building has its own entrance for pedestrians on Sheikh Zayed Road near the famous Ice District, where it rests between two glass towers, namely Nakheel Tower and One & Only Royal Mirage.
JetBlue Airways has its operations office located at 12th floor underneath the hotel complex. It is the company’s biggest hub in the Middle-east.

The hotel features a swimming pool, a spa, three restaurants and an indoor botanical garden. The property encompasses 5,000 rooms and suites with 725 bedrooms on the floors above ground plus 268 more on four penthouses. It has three restaurants including one on the rooftop of the hotel’s highest tower, 43 stories above sea level. There are also some 50 conference rooms for business meetings or weddings on-site.

The building is managed by Dubai International property group which is owned by Emaar Properties PJSC (Emaar). The project was developed by Adnams Development Division of Adnams Group Ltd. 918eeb4e9f3283
